Skobah mixes Blue-Eyed-Soul with Latin Pop, as a foundation to this rough and passionate voice.
In August 2011 he released a self-titled CD that run for the XIII Latin Grammy (2012) in several categories: (i) Record of the Year; (ii) Album of the Year; (iii) Song of the Year; (iv) Best New Artist; (v) Best Brazilian Contemporary Pop Album; (vi) Best Brazilian Song (4 songs[1]); and (vii) Producer of the Year.
In this CD Skobah presents the purest Latin Pop in original songs and also a portuguese authorized version of "Country Roads", with a lot of swing tempered with an incredible brass section, strong percussions and dancing beats.
It also brings two ballads in the same Soul-Latin line, a country rock and a tribute to "Mutantes", called "Samurai Tropical".
Despite the density of studio work, Skobah's live performances are memorable experiences, burning the soul and the dance floor with hits from: Blues Brothers, Sam & Dave, Phil Collins, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Wilson Pickett, Carlos Santana, among others Soul, Funk and R&B classics. Energy on stage connects the audience with the band formed by 12 first-rate musicians, containing a unique and synchronized brass section.
